wonder how many more times he's going to get called a pup before the comic ends

kinda reminds me of someone i know in Champions Online - all manner of people call him a puppy too (including me), which he always vehemently denies...made all the funnier by the fact he's about 20 feet tall

and what's the name on the park path sign? kinda looks like ratalis or raetalis or something, but it's hard to make out

The comic's ongoing, so it doesn't have an "end". It's like a TV show in the sense that no absolute final goal looms ahead in favor of a series of adventures with overreaching story arcs. If and when the time comes to have to stop making it, I'll tie up loose ends and provide wrap-ups for the main characters. As for how many times Gavin will be called a pup, well, simply as many times as it comes up. :) [As of the writing of this comment, there are no more on the horizon directly related to his storylines outside of possible teasings from Charlie and George.]

You almost got it right with your first guess! The signs in Wolverton are in the comic's title font, which can be tricky especially when smaller. It reads NATALIS, which is a name related to a bit of alleged werewolf history [our/real]. It's a clue as to the hamlet where Duke resides. The hamlet sign itself will appear on page 204.

Correct. The Ossory Hamlet sign showed up on page 136 Hanging Out indicating where Mabel lives.

so do all wolves' fur go poofy like they've just blow-dried off after getting wet when they go wild?

That's the convention I came up with, yes.

I've a feeling Gavin wouldn't allow that. :) Thanks for liking him, reading and commenting!
