> Heh, it actually seems kind of strange to see a werewolf in a human form now!
Yea! Exactly what I'd been hoping for! It is strange to see it 'backward'. :) Also glad it looks painful. I'd hoped for that, too. (Although I didn't like hurting the poor guy.) There's a few lines about it next panel/page.
You are correct. In my version/way of werewolfery, fur and hair colour match. Part of the fun of making werewolf stuff is being able to decide on such matters since there are no absolute standards.
Thanks for saying it's well done. I tried a layout I'd not come across before (for transformations). The next transformation won't be so elaborate, nor even a full page. First time (for audience/comic) had to be "special". :)
I don't remember specifically. I do know that it didn't take me any longer than my usual production time for a page. Perhaps the only difference had been the extra research on it. By which I mean looking into drawn depictions of werewolf transformations, so that I could design my own unique layout. But otherwise, it's not special in its amount of work.
Oh. :)
In my take on werewolves, the transformation process varies from one werewolf to the next. It depends on their experience with it. A first time transformation might take up to 15 minutes. But that's extreme since it is the initial reconfiguring/"breaking" of the body. As time goes on (and the body is used to the shifting), it decreases. On average I think it goes down to just about 5 minutes. For Gavin here? He has to change back and forth quite a bit (unlike most of the Wolverton denizens) due to his home situation so he's pretty good at it now. So about 3 minutes or so. There are werewolves who can change very rapidly though. Floyd will tell you how fast it can be done before too long in the comic. ;)
Thank goodness for the wolf wear, too. Stretches back as well. :)
So, would this theory be right in that the werewolves' fur colour is always the same as their human hair colour?
