Yes, I am aware that "being bitten" might be considered a Hollywood invention in the list of how one can become a werewolf. There is, however, some evidence for it in historical accounts such as Hans the Werewolf in 1651.
Also, since a 'canon' for werewolves doesn't actually exist, I take that to be license to use the lore which does exist as I may. I think "bitten" is now too commonly known as a cause of werewolfery not to include it among the other wacky ways, one of which has already been mentioned in the comic (Page 25 - To Grandmother's House We Go).
You'd be surprised at how MANY ways there are, and how ridiculous some of them are. If they were true, we'd have lots of werewolves running around - enough for... oh... say... a WHOLE TOWN. ;)
Curious you never thought of it. :) Had you come across the 'descendant/genetic' aspect at all? I just took it a step further and had BOTH his parents be werewolves.
It is NOW! :D
I've not come across that one. Or at least it seeped out of my mind. I poked around and found it. Dagger Way
And you have just landed something into the comic! It fits very well, practically perfect, with what I've already established in what's to come. THANK YOU, AOWOOO! :)
That's cute! Nah, that's the kind of thing they'd {ahem} bark at as "ha ha very funny" - the type of joke they've heard many times. Don't worry, these kinds of jokes will have their place coming up. So, in this case not so much offensive stereotype as low growl at having the gall to say it. Thanks for reading!
I read Joshua Sturm's Difference as well. Lovely work. As much as I admire it, though, in general I'm not a fan of crossovers. Let each work be its own. Besides, I've got enough in Wolverton to keep me busy without such frivolous additions. :)
Also, Ruby wouldn't exist in my comic's world. Animals don't talk. And there's no way I'm doing 'wererabbit' ;)
Poor Floyd, though. Well, at least being a werewolf is pretty great 0w0
As always, glad you're amused. And thanks for the sympathy for Floyd. Don't worry, he's okay and he agrees with you! (You'll see...) :)
reading your comic, its even the first time I was confronted with the concept Werewolfs may breed - altough that this seem more than naturally! ;-)

(perfectly okay with that.)
that would be it.
