You know, you probably didn't mean it this way, but this line is actually how most people in the transgender/gender non-conforming branch feel: they're more comfortable being something they were not assigned at birth.
Actually, that had been my intention. Not that group specifically, but inclusive of all so-called outsiders or misfits. However, I certainly did think of transgenders/gender non-conformists during the creation of Wolverton. As did my friends who read the comics thus far (before posting online). Yes, I guess this comic shows it very good. By reading it, I am constantly thinking "Gee, are these intolerant, narrow-minded people." but I guess they are just acrting "normally" against someone different.
Thanks for saying the comic does a good job in this regard. Sad that "intolerant" and "narrow-minded" can be considered normal, huh? And it's not as if Talbot is doing anything to harm them, either. He's just being himself.
