hehe, if i wouldn't already know better i would say the "not anymore" line sounds like Regret.
But luckily turning into a Werewolf is the best possible outcome/benefit of using the Dark Arts. :)

You're correct. It's regret. But it's regret for having used it, not for having stopped. Except that doesn't include making himself a werewolf. He loves being a 'wolf.

Yes, it got to be "much" putting it together even. Poor Gavin!

I really hate his grandparents. They really don’t like him to hang out with friends at night. So what if he does. It’s normal!

From their perspective, they're just looking out for him. And they didn't expect to have to raise him. They're not even really aware that he has friends. He doesn't talk about them. More of this will come up down the line.

I wanna know the story behind the "Not anymore" from the third panel...

Not sure when exact particulars need to be (or can find a place to be) revealed, but one bit of the tale there: Darkfang really let Gavin have it for using the Dark Arts to make himself a 'wolf. So even if he did want to dabble more, the unpleasant experience of it during the wolf attainment combined with his friend's wrath stopped him from pursuing it. Not to mention it allegedly killed his parents [Page 25].
