Oh Darkfang, I too know what it is like to have to eat out because I have nothing in the house that I can eat by itself.

so does Darkfang keep wearing the same shirt every day, or does he have a closet full of the same shirt?

Most of the characters wear the same outfit all the time. There are two reasons. First, I'm following suit (pun noted) to a classic trope. Rarely do cartoon characters have different outfits. Second, and likely the reason for the first, it's easier to identify and differentiate characters when they have an established look about them, especially when their other variations in design are subtle (ear/snout shape, for example). For the in-comic explanation, I see it as each 'wolf has a particular favorite outfit they feel most comfortable in and therefore "always" dress that way. So do they have multiples of each? Probably, but it's not really all that important. :) But we can say yes. For Floyd, his identifying feature happens to be a Hawaiian shirt. It would be a shame to not give him many patterns of these. Talbot, on the other paw, just discovered Wolf Wear, so the conceit is he's prone to having different outfits. The one intended to be his "standard" can be seen on page 97 'Shopping Montage' in the center. Basil also has two outfits - his regular everyday and his Burgermeister clothes.

i know of the trope in question; i was more wondering if he put on the exact same shirt he had been wearing the prior night or grabbed a fresh, yet identical one

there is after all that real-life trope of a male's clothing choices based on 3 categories - clean, still wearable, toss in a pile and don't wash until you have NOTHING left of the first two piles

which kind of brings up a semi-related the wolves all have personal washer/dryers or do they use a communal one, ala laundromat?

To be honest, I had not given thought to how and where 'wolves do their laundry. Given how long it takes to bring the important bits and storylines to the page, I'd never planned on showing them with washers and dryers. I do, however, have a virtual model of Floyd & Talbot's apartments (as they are the same layout) and it does not include in-unit laundry facilities. Therefore, I must conclude that most if not all residences have them in the basement.

As for Darkfang, I'd say that in this case he is in fact wearing the same shirt as yesterday, since it can be seen hanging on the turret of his castle bed.

well, that would make sense - i have seen a lot of apartments that had laundry utilities in their basements because space is at a premium

also, knowing that werewolves more often than not tend to have an enhanced sense of smell...eww - and come to think of it, he was wearing that shirt when he got beaten up by the wild pack, so it's a wonder there's no blood on it and he was also wearing it while he was changing those 5 times to heal up and i remember talbot saying something about getting all sweaty when shift happens early on in the story

...i may be overthinking things a tad for a cartoon comic - which is odd, because i don't usually think of things like this unless someone ELSE points them out first

Apparently no blood got on Darkfang's shirt when the CoyWolves beat him up. And the shirt he's wearing in the following days (going to fetch the amulet & then going to the diner the next day) could indeed be another one, reused once. Also, he didn't have any clothes on when he had to shift all those times to heal. And don't forget that Wolf Wear is treated against perspiration.
