guess darkfang's going to be hitting up the stores for money again - what dinner date, though? i don't remember him meeting any women/men/others and making plans

He said "dinner meeting" not "dinner date". He has his own pack he hangs out with, so it could be one of them. Also, just because we don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Darkfang's always hitting up for money. ;)

Correct, Indagre! I didn't depict an actual incident of finding out about the meeting because it would have used prime page space/time. Serves as a fun little anticipatory moment since it's a natural extension of what has already been. Does that give you a clue, then? If not and you really must know sooner than the four pages away, I'll tell you. :)

well, it can't be with riq, since i don't see darkfang needing money for any dinner with him, and it can't be with talbot and co. that we've seen within the last several pages or you'd think one of them would've mentioned it even if the actual planning happened offpage

so darkfang must have other friends he made plans with...*desire to know more intensifies*

I can't figure out his money woes. It seems like you have to work awful hard to not do well in Wolverton.

I got a good laugh out of that, Indagare. Thanks. You're correct that one would have to work awful hard to not do well in the werewolf town. But that's the thing. Darkfang's a screw up. He just doesn't keep tabs on his money. It basically runs like this: He saves the 6 moonbucks for rent, he's not entirely stupid. Then he splurges most of it on bane (from Trevor) and too much candy and such losing track quickly (which is easy when candy's just a quarter). He eats out a bunch at first, too. Larry's Place. And soon enough... he's burned through his allowance and needs to really on bartering. As Gwen tells him, "You gotta manage better, dude!"

also i'm pretty sure this has already been answered before but, does the whole werewolf thing alter physical attributes in any significant way beyond regenerative longevity - i.e. added strength, speed, acrobatic skills, etc.

basically, how much does being a werewolf increase someone's parkour skill? or in this case, barkour

i will not apologize for that one

Yes, they have increased other senses and such. And they retain some use of them as humans. An example of this has always been planned for the comic, and it's currently on the horizon, but we've plenty of ocean left to sail to it.

Unrelated to the comic, but related to werewolfy and transformation interests, here's a transfurmation.

wait, after my questions from the last page i am a little confused. i thought Moonbucks were a Wolverton only currency...and Gavin isnt a Wolverton citicen in any way....so how did he get some moonbucks? did he do little jobs for other wolves?
or maybe it had already been answered and i just dont remember...had been a long time since i read the archive.

Moonbucks are Wolverton only, but Gavin was able to gain moonbucks by doing odd jobs for the folks living in Wolverton. You can see him earning them here when he wanted to be sure he could keep Duke's name off the high score list.

Hey Peter, does Gavin ever experience Theriolus Instigata? I remember Talbot mentioning he "tamed" the wolf as a pup (and I assume the pups in town have too), but it's a bit unclear when/how it manifests even though we've seen it a couple times in adult 'wolves.
PeterVonBrown 24th Dec 2020, 7:38 PM edit delete reply
PeterVonBrown
Good question. Answer: He does not. Theriolus Instigata applies only to 'wolves who are 'wolves 24/7. "Acting human" as a wolf for extended periods of time creates a pent up amount of the beastial self. It's been discovered that "going wild" once per moon cycle proves sufficient to prevent an uncontrolled werewolf. So, since Gavin must remain a human for more time than he can be a 'wolf, he's not afflicted. He will, however, "go wild" from time to time, on purpose. Just to maintain it and be familiar with it and such. He does so under Darkfang's supervision. Darkfang helped Gavin in the ways of lycanthropy a lot once the boy turned himself wolf.

[And thanks for answering Moonwolf's question for me! :) ]

Ah, okay, thanks! :-3

That's also good to know. Would it be safe to assume the pups in Wolverton are doing the same with their parents'?

[And thanks for answering Moonwolf's question for me! :) ]

Welcome! I'm really glad I could help!

Yes, their parents are responsible for teaching them werewolfery, and that includes supervised 'Going Wild'.
