So, are there any rules about dating folks who aren't 'wolves? It seems like something that would be covered somewhere given the trouble that could arise.

Also some Beast Boy 'wolf art.

This will be brought up in the comic "soonish" down the line. On the whole, though, it's generally understood to be a bad idea, but no official taboo exists. Left up to the werewolf's discretion and responsibility for any "transgressions".

Cute pic!

This seems like a rock-and-hard-place relationship. If I recall correctly the 'wolves can't bite people (see Gavin) and also aren't allowed to tell someone how to become a 'wolf either (though it doesn't seem terribly hard to find ways to do it that don't involve the Dark Arts). And with Wolverton's One Day Only rule, it'd be impossible for a non-'wolf to stay there.

On the other side is moving out of Wolverton, which has its own issues.

Cute pic!

Indeed! Beast Boy's art is always such fun!

All of what you say's absolutely correct. Powers that be help Floyd! (Said in a normal way, not as a comic content clue.)

Since you are the ultimate power-that-be with the comic, us poor mortal readers can only hope you have a plan for Jon and Floyd's eventual future happiness together rather than us dealing with maudlin might-have-beens.

While making new werewolves willy-nilly by biting folks is against the Wolverton Code of Conduct, that's not the full/real reason Darkfang refused. Even if Gavin could somehow convey without a shadow of a doubt that he wished to be a werewolf, Ronny could not have done so moralistically due to Gavin's age at the time (and now). Werewolfery cannot be undone. Bestowing the gift/curse on someone who has yet to live out their youth just seems like a bad idea. In the case of a puppy born into it, that's a whole other moral dilemma parents must be prepared for and discuss. S'hard being a werewolf sometimes.

In regard too not being difficult to become a werewolf without using the Dark Arts, yes and no. While there are a great number of ways to enter into lycanthropy, most of them, while actually feasible, are not likely to happen often. Sure, Duke drank water from a wolf's paw - but what are the chances of coming across a wolf paw with rainfall in it? Each one has criteria that can be tricky to actually meet. Gavin exhausted all the ones he could discover as being impossible for him and even tried ones that are myths just in case. But since he had seen his dad dabble as well...he resorted to "magic".

Very good if you track a wolf pack during the rainy season.

HA! True. But still... Find a wolf pack. Be brave enough to track it. Be available during rainy season. Happen to catch the fresh water in a pawprint. A lot to make happen. Not impossible, no. But not entirely easy either.

I seriously hope he has a plan to help Jon get over his lycanthrophobia, because they need to be together.

Also, werewolf feesh get!

Jon not being afraid of wolves in general will certainly help. The tricky bit will be talking about the lycanthropy. He might try to go on all fours and have Jon meet an oddly friendly "wolf" before talking about it, but I'm not sure how good an idea that is.

If I were him, I'd be more concerned about the issue of Wolverton and non-'wolves. Sooner or later it'll come to either him leaving Wolverton to live with Jon or Jon joining the ranks of the 'wolves and moving to Wolverton. I don't see them living in two places working out long-term given the nature of lycanthrope here.

Also, werewolf feesh get!

Adorable!

What happens if a 'wolf meets a furry?

Answer is this.

I mean, seriously, a werewolf at a furry convention would have an entirely different set of problems than usual.
