This page precisely demonstrates how easily the basic principles of socialism can be twisted. I don't know if that was the intent or not, but it still manages it really damn well.

Also, what's a Drongo?

This is usually what people try to use to say how bad socialism/communism is. Mostly they either don't know (or don't care) what the actual principles are, but focus on the dictators that use promises of helping out workers to catapult them into office where they then take everything from everyone.

Also, what's a Drongo?

"The word drongo is used in Australian English as a mild form of insult meaning 'idiot' or 'stupid fellow'. This usage derives from an Australian racehorse of the same name (apparently after the spangled drongo, Dicrurus bracteatus) in the 1920s that never won despite many places."

Indirectly, LegendaryLycanthrope, sure. More so I'd just wanted to have the jerk character behave accordingly, using the Wolvertonian ways that Talbot's been appreciating.

Here's an idea Doyle... let Talbot have your lucky cuestick and you get the 8-ball. Let's see how long you can go without it.

Are there any rules against having magic items in Wolverton? Doyle strikes me as the type to go all 'if I can't have it no one can' and either destroy it or get it permanently removed from Talbot.

I'd think if there were, Darkfang wouldn't be able to keep his medallion, and whoever it was a few dozen pages back wouldn't have those comm stones, or whatever they were.

Yeah, I was also thinking of those, but I don't think anyone but Riqurélio knew about the amulet, and those stones seemed to be common knowledge. I'm just worried that Doyle is going to try something nasty.

The only rules against magic items are don't use them for nefarious or hurtful practices. Also, there'd be the general rule of avoid dealing with magic, within reason - such as the scryers exist, may as well use them, but don't go making more.

Nothing has been said that Riqurélio's amulet contains magic. ;)

As for how things turn out with Doyle - you'll see. :)

There's been plenty of heavy implication, though.

I don’t think so. All that makes it special so far are the markings on it, to differentiate it as Riqurélio’s. There’s been no mention of magical properties or use.

Just had another look. Perhaps you mean the CoyWolves saying it has an aura about it? That’s just because it’s old, and seems it, and belongs to Riqurélio. Sebastian does say it’s not magic, and Cliff agrees.

And because boss wolf wants it bad enough to kill for - why would he go to those lengths for an otherwise useless lump of metal, even one that belongs to Riq?

Why, INDEED! ;) Who said it's useless?

Gee Doyle, you aren't a self-righteous aggro bully or anything?

Nahhhh...
