Ooo! I love the towers!
Also, the bartering system in Wolverton is fantastic. C:

Thanks! Rather jealous fond of their system myself. ;)

Phantoma Fenrir
I have a question... What would happen say a human found Wolverton?
triforce fandom 19th Apr 2017, 10:13 AM edit delete reply
unless he/she is a vampire you shouldn't worry
PeterVonBrown 19th Apr 2017, 10:36 AM edit delete reply
Again, no such thing as vampires in this world.

it's a joke dude it's just a joke

Humans have found it before. They just don't hang around on account of being afraid. Not every werewolf out in the world is the friendly sort, so plain humans know to be fearful. But not all humans know it exists. By the same token, not all werewolves know either. On both sides, it's often brushed off as a hoax, a good laugh or craziness. Few would go looking for a town of werewolves.

Also, as you know, Talbot is about to see the Burgermeister. There are a handful of lines in upcoming pages that relate to this, albeit on a minor level. However, stay tuned even further, for this issue does come up directly later.

I can see a few humans or groups of them who would have their own reasons for dealing with Wolverton's citizens. One might be a group of parazoologist researchers who just snoop around town and study their habits. Another might be some teenage youtuber who found out about Wolverton through some werewolf friends and hangs out with them uses footage he takes of the townswolves to make parodies of nature documentaries that he gives snarky narration to in a perfect nature documentary narrator voice.

there would be some werewolf wannabes hanging around of course, some of whom might be members of old werewolf worshiping cults and some whom are defectors from old werewolf hunter families.

That one lady with "clinical lycanthropy" who the real werewolves humor because they think she is actually pretty cool and don't want to hurt her feeling.

Teenagers working for a babysitting service that specializes in supernatural kids, including werewolf puppies.

and on the puppy note, expy of Hanna from Wolf Children who, while human herself, had werewolf pups with her late werewolf baby daddy and moved to wolverton so they could have a male werewolf role model.

Are there any character in this comic with hypertricosis
PeterVonBrown 22nd Apr 2017, 3:02 AM edit delete reply
That would be unnecessary since werewolfery is real here, and it's about the werewolves.
Triforce Fandom 22nd Apr 2017, 6:21 PM edit delete reply
I mean non werewolf characters
PeterVonBrown 22nd Apr 2017, 6:26 PM edit delete reply
There are very few non-werewolf characters that ever appear, so again it's unnecessary when the focus is the werewolves.

Wow. Thanks for the suggestions. You really put imagination and logic into those. However, as I said, the focus of this comic is on the interactions of werewolves.

I have many storylines that still need to come into play for the characters that exist, as well as werewolf characters created at the beginning of production (with their own storylines) who have yet to make it in to the comic. A year and a half's worth of comics [released weekly] goes by just for Talbot to discover and get set up in town. (And technically I'm still not done with him being fully situated.) Given the amount of actual time it takes to produce and release the stories to tell, I don't have any inclination or purpose for putting in extra humans. Especially when the premise of the comic does not require them. It's a comic about the town of werewolves, not a comic about werewolves dealing with humans.

Perhaps many years from now if I run out of ideas. But truthfully, more ideas keep generating with the 'wolves, thank heavens. A handful of humans will be in the comic who fill specific niches or extend from the storylines (such as Gavin's grandparents), and will show up in due course. Thanks for being interested and for reading!

what's the word on the wooden sign in the last panel? even fully zoomed in on it, i couldn't make it out - not in any way i'd be 100% sure it's correct, anyway
PeterVonBrown 28th Jul 2019, 1:49 PM edit delete reply
Thanks for being curious, LegendaryLycanthrope! The word on the wooden sign is: IMPETO. It displays the name of Riqurélio's cannon, which means "force" or "violence" in Portuguese. Portugal is Riqurélio's country of origin.
